Hyundai and Kia companies have notified more than 480,000 owners who own some of their SUVs; parking cars away from the house because there is a fire or explosion fault that can occur in some vehicles that have anti-lock that are not correct

The problem is that the anti-lock control brake module can ignite the engine even if the car is turned off. The anti-lock braking system in some cars uses a different system. Hyundai and Kia have said all vehicles will be replaced and the anti-lock brake will be replaced with a new hydraulic electronic-control unit circuit board.

Hyundai models that are at risk are Santa Fe SUVs, Santa Fe Sport SUVs, Santa Fe XL models and Tucson SUVs.

Kia has mentioned the types of dangerous vehicles are K900 sedans and Sportage SUVs.

In total, Hyundai has 357,830 vehicles which are at risk and Kia has 126,747 vehicles.

This is a reminder that automotive systems may have flaws and users may be unaware of what is going on. Tech is good but there is time, new changes are dangerous.
